Yes, peace be with you is in everybody’s lips. But, is there really peace in our country today? Is there peace in our town now? I’ll tell you, no peace there never was! For peace is being crumpled upon, peace is being spit on! Peace is meaningless.

Recently, the Sulu Provincial Government peace panel had been divested of its hard earned possession at the point of the gun. It was not the first time, it happened before and it will happen again, again and again. Why? Is it because of an unending dose of such inequity and so pathetically vitiated of our once pure society?

That we had been grown so calloused and so insensitive? The government seems to think so it was not lifted its powerful finger of authority. Society has to think twice? Thrice or even more! To attain peace is not an easy task.

We have to weigh over and over again. Mindful peace is uplifted if there’s harmony in each others heart. True and clear heart can overcome the rouse of evil in one’s mind. Peace is actually everywhere, its just that people doesn’t know how to value rights and civil liberties. Peace be upon us.
