LADY ANN AT RAMADHAN SEMINAR 1429 (Sept.20, 2008)

Vice Governor Lady Ann was invited as guest speaker at the Islamic Ramadhan Seminar 1429H, sponsored by the Sulu Ulama Council for Peace and Development Incorporated (SUCPD) yesterday morning at Sulu State College gymnasium Walled City Jolo, Sulu.[

The seminar was attended by thousands of Jama’a wherein honourable Lady Ann in her speech mentioned about the significance of the month of Ramadhan in which the holy Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Mohammad (SAW).

According to her, “All Muslims who are mature and healthy should fast everyday in the holy month of Ramadhan. Sawm (fasting) in the month of Ramadhan is one of the five Pillars of Islam. Abstaining from all forms of evil is as offensive at all times, but are most offensive during the Fast of Ramadhan”.

Thus, we pray to allah to grant us firm adherence to Islam and make us die therein. She reiterated that all Muslims should protect Islam thru peace and justice. This is in adherence to the theme of the said ramadhan seminar “ Pagbaugbug ha Agama: Dan sin Paghambuuk iban Kasabunnalan”.

Vice Governor Sahidulla also donated funds to SUCPD for the seminar.
