LADY ANN VISITS IPIL (Sept.14, 2008)

Vice Gov. Nur-Ana Sahidulla visited barangay Ipil in Maimbung Municipality. She donated rice and canned goods to the residents and victims of the infamous Ipil massacre as part of her humanitarian service in the observance of the holy month of Ramadan.  Giving Zakat or alms is one of the 5 pillars of Islam.

The Philippine Marines headed by Gen. Juancho Sabban escorted the honourable Vice Governor to the area.  The group are welcomed by no less than the honourable Mayor of Maimbung, Hji. Najib Maldisa.
