1st HALAL BUSINESS FORUM IN SULU (Aug. 18, 2008)

The Vice Governor Honorable Hja. Nur-Ana I. Sahidulla, attended the Ist Halal Business Forum held last August 18, 2008 at the Area Coordinating Center building at the Capitol Complex, Province of Sulu.

The Forum was also attended by members of the Sulu Business Council, local government agencies and other interested businessmen of Sulu.  The honorable Vice Governor in her speech encouraged the participants on the importance of producing locally halal slaughtered cows and chicken and exporting Halal Foods to other countries. She also expressed the economic advantages of Halal Food Development in the ARMM region particularly in the Province of Sulu.

The participants are optimistic that the Sulu Government will support their endeavor since it will create more jobs for the tausug in the future if realized.
