MEDCAP AT PATA AND LUGUS MUNICIPALITIES (Oct.27 ,2008)

The 4th Marine Battalion Landing Team (MBLT4) headed by their commanding officer Col. Eugene Clemen together with Honorable Vice Governor Lady Ann Sahidulla, Hja. Nurunnisah Tan and the Integrated Provincial Health Office jointly conducted the Medical and Dental Civic Action Program and Health Information Drive, benefiting two Island Municipalities of Pata and Lugus respectively.

On October 25,2008. Residents of Barangay Kiput, Pata Municipality received free health services, circumcision, pediatrics and cyst operation, family planning, live birth registration and information campaign on Malaria and Dengue prevention.  The honorable Vice Governor took lead the teaching of proper nutrition and health sanitations to the residents.

Pata Municipal Mayor Hja. Nurmina Burahan, expressed her warm felicitations to the military and Sulu Provincial Government for the initiative meant to promote the well being of her constituents.
On n October 27, 2008, the group continued the mission to Island municipality of Lugus to conduct free Health Assistance and Information Drive on deterrence and peaceful way to combat terrorism.

Lugus Mayor Ilay Asmadul warmly welcomed the group and appreciates the help and concern for the welfare of his constituents.

Mayor Asmadul recieved the 150 school chairs and a number of wheelchairs intended for elders and handicapped.

Col. Eugenio Clemen, Commanding Officer of MBLT3, emphasized that by continuously working in unity with the Sulu Provincial Government and local government units, it is not only the security of the residents that can be protected but basic needs such as health services can be also promptly delivered to the community.
