MAIMBUNG HEALTH FESTIVAL (Oct.13, 2008)

Honourable Vice Governor Lady Ann Sahidulla was invited to the Launching and turn-over ceremony of Barangay Pharmacy and Convenience Store Project in the Municipal Complex of Maimbung.

The project is being supported by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mindanao Resource Development (MIRD) and Non-Violent Peace Force in partnership with Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO)-Sulu and 4th Marine Battalion Landing Team.

Vice Governor Sahidulla said that this project will do well to the poor families of the municipality. It is also designed to create an integral implementation framework of health reform, health financing and health delivery services.

Health concern is often neglected where poverty is so high but the government shall not cease to heed the many aspects of well-being of the community, Lady Ann points further.

“Garantisadong Pambata Round2” or the GP8 Child Survival Package program was also highlighted aiming total awareness and importance for proper hygiene of parents and children.  Vice Governor Sahidulla educate the children on proper brushing of teeth for personal cleanliness.

Along with her are personalities like Hja. Nurunnisah Tan - wife of the Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan,  Hon. Hji. Alkhadar A. Ipah, Dra. Fahra Tan-Omar - Provincial Health Officer of IPHO-Sulu, Mr. Albadal Hassan - Executive Director of Mindanao Integrate Resources and Development (MIRD), Colonel Ariel Caculitan - Commanding Officer of MBLT4, Captain Matt Razon - US Army ODA1234, Dra. Jubaira A. Isnani - Chief District Health Services Parang District, Mr. Jaafar Maldisa - representative of Maimbung Sulu Mayor, Barangay Captain Nandi Sali of Barangay Poblacion Maimbung, Barangay Captain Bensar Sali of Barangay Laum Maimbung Sulu and some personnels of U.S Army, AFP and PNP.
