THOUSANDS CELEBRATE PROVINCIAL NIGHT (Oct.2, 2008)

The Sulu Provincial Government under the administration of energetic governor of Sulu Honourable Sakur Tan and the ever supportive vice governor Honourable Nur-Ana I. Sahidulla celebrates Hari Raya festivity last October 2, 2008 at Jolo Municipal Hall.  The program starts at 7 O’Clock in the evening.

The vice governor starts the program with her opening remarks. The crowd was jubilant when Lady Ann sung her famous original compositions as accompanied by her L.A. Band and Dancers. Indeed, Lady Ann is the star among the stars of the night. 

The night was full of enjoyment and everyone was entertained as governor Tan and vice governor Sahidulla sang their duet number in front of many crowd.

Major General Juancho Sabban of Task Force Comet, Col. Clemen and other military dignitaries were also invited at the festivity.  Among other performers are members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and different departments of the provincial government.

Singing of “Hawak Kamay” by Gov.Tan, Vice Gov.Lady Ann, the Sanguniang Panalalawigan members, and other special guests is the program finale as a symbol of unity in the province of Sulu.

Eid Celebration at Mohammad Tulawie Central School

Earlier, Parents Teachers Association of Mohammad Tulawie Central School celebrated their Hari Raya Eid”l Fitri and Family Fun Day at Mohammad Tulawie School ground at around 9 O’Clock in the morning.

Among there invited guest speakers was none other than Vice Governor Lady Ann Sahidulla.  She was asked to render a song number and she warmly approved their request. Faculty members, parents and their children were so happy by Lady Ann’s  gesture, she indeed made the program  ecstatic.

Other honourable guest speakers who graced the event was Governor Abdusakur Tan,  Mayor Hussin U. Amin of Jolo, Major General Juancho Sabban of Task Force Comet, Col. Clemen of the 3rd Marine Brigade and other military dignitaries of United States Visiting Forces.

Vice Governor Sahidulla donated hundreds of school chairs to Mohammad Tulawie Central School.
