PNP DIR.GEN. VERZOSA VISITS SULU (Nov.6,2008)

Philippine National Police Chief Director General Jesus Verzosa visits Jolo to attend the graduation ceremony for PNP Basic Police Operations of 60 enlisted Personnels as sponsored by ICITAP-Philippines and the Sulu Provincial Police Office at the Notre Dame of Jolo College.

The training aims to improve more of the enlisted men in terms of the standard operating procedure in conducting law enforcement operations.

Governor Sakur Tan, Vice-Governor Lady Ann Sahidulla, Jolo Mayor Hussin U. Amin, Indanan Mayor Hussin Ahajan, Siasi Mayor Muksan and other honorable guests welcomed General Verzosa and his party at the ceremony.

Along with General Verzosa are ARMM PNP Regional Director Chief Supt. Bensali Maga Jabarani, HRDD Director German Doria, PNP General Sukarno Ikbala, PRO9 Deputy General Hamdag, Commanding Officer of Task Force Comet Major General Juancho M. Sabban, ICITAP Technical Assistant Paul Middlemore, JSOTF-P Chief of Planning Lt.Col. Chadwick W. Clark and Senior Law Enforcement Adviser Richard Miller.

Vice Governor Sahidulla took the honor in putting on the PIS SYABIT to General Verzosa as a jesture in welcoming him.  The vice governor said that “it is just opportune that the good general visited Jolo and boost the moral of the PNP in the whole province of Sulu”.

General Vezosa in his speech commands the policemen to be always present and vigilant in their respective assignment so that the community will be protected against the lawless elements. Notwithstanding his order, they will be reassigned to other province as a punishment for them.

After giving awards to deserving policemen, General Verzosa and his party then proceeded to Municipality of Indanan to inaugurate the newly constructed Police Station building.
