MAIMBUNG MUNICIPALITY BENEFITS WATER SUPPLY PROJECT (June 13, 2009)
As the saying goes “Water, water everywhere but nothing to drink” was once upon a time illustrate Barangays Kulasi and Lagasan Asibih of Maimbung Municipality. Potable water then is sparse where people buy precious water from traders who bring in to these small communities. Some source from rainfall and deep-well whose salinity is so unpleasant and unhealthy to drink.
Seeing this dire need of this community, Task Force Comet head Major General Juancho M. Sabban and the USAID directly acted in addressing this concern. Indeed, water system project for Barangays Kulasi and Lagasan Asibih have materialized.
13th of June, bliss and cheers. The project is officially turned over by Major General Sabban to the festive community care of Maimbung Mayor Najib Maldisa. Potable drinking water pours free for the convenience of the populace.
A ceremonial turnover was graced by the Honorable Vice Governor Lady Ann Sahidulla and congratulated once again the Task Force Comet and the US Government for the tireless and heartfelt support in bridging the gap from the “haves and have nots”.
Humbled by their undertakings, Lady Ann committed to strive more as a public servant for the benefit of her beloved “Hulah, Bangsa and Agama”. She thanked the benefactors for implementing such humanitarian project for the community and hoping for more to come which her constituents would benefit much.
Also present in the historic ceremony are Brig. General Eugenio N. Clemen - Commanding Officer of 3MBDE, Mr. Andre De Rossi – Chief Executive Officer of Peace and Prosperity Philippines, Major Daley -representative from the US Army, Col. Balatan, Col. Ariel Caculitan, Col. Max Balesteros, Major Sanaani and other honored guests.
