L.A. APPOINTED AS NAT'L. ADVISER FOR LADY EAGLES CLUB (Dec. 15, 2008)
The 3 day celebration of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Philippine Eagles is a much awaited event primarily because of the 27th National Congress, much more than just having fun, the celebration has always been designed to show social relevance, multi-sectoral collaboration and highlight priority of the Philippine Eagle Programs.
The 27th National Congress of the First Philippine-Born Fraternal Socio-Civic Organization having been guided by its well expressed principle of “Service Through Strong Brotherhood”, was held at The Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City, Philippines last December 12- 14, 2008; hosted by the Davao City Eagles Club with their Eagleism: ‘’Paving the Way to Peace and Prosperity”. The national assembly was attended by different member delegates of the Philippines.
The Philippine Eagles has now flown high, soared and captured the Philippine skies as they are guided by their Eagleism which spread like wildfire. The National Leadership is being equipped by some expressed provision of Eagles Magna Carta with such functions and responsibilities and corresponding authority to convene, preside and administer over NEXECOM, and compose and put into productive use the President’s Cabinet.
The Legislative Branch of Eagles Governance, the National Assembly, and the Supreme Tribunal. As all these embraces the values and commitment being exemplified by the National Leadership, then there is no way but the fulfillment of the Eagles Vision Mission. This exemplifies the Eagles passion of Service Through Strong Brotherhood.
The celebration was then opened on day 1 with the registration of members at the Waterfront Insular Hotel, followed by the courtesy call to the City Mayor of Davao Honorable Rodrigo R. Duterte. Fellowship followed wherein they address it as “Mayor’s, Governor’s, Congressman’s Night”; welcoming everyone to the 27th National Congress.
Early as 8 O’clock in the morning of day 2 is the motorcade event, and around 10 O’clock in the morning is the Formal opening of National Congress at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Regal Hotel. The program starts with eagles Ecumenical Prayer, Entry of Colors and the singing of the Philippine Eagles Hymn and Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte is their keynote speaker. Part II of the program is the Congress Plenary Session wherein the election for Duly Elected National Assemblyman, Election of the National President and ENVP and its Proclamation of the duly Elected Officials was held.
Kuya Vicente Aguila of Naga City is the duly elected National President, the Executive Vice President is Kuya Erlquinn Lim, Governor of Northern Mindanao Region.
Ate Vice Governor Hja. Nur- Ana I. Sahidulla was appointed by the National President as the National Adviser for Lady Eagles Club. She also received a Plaque of Appreciation as the keynote speaker of the 3rd National Assembly held at the ACC Jolo Municipal Hall, Jolo, Sulu.
Kuya Hji Ibnohashim Undug was also appointed as one of the National Peace Officer and one of the recipients of Plaque of recognition as the 10 Most Outstanding Eagle of the Year. Another awardee is ate Nurja Undug who received a Presidential Medallion for the President of Jolo Lady Eagles Club.
Kuya Mayor Hussin U. Amin, Mayor of Jolo is also one of the five Awardees by the National Congress, and Ate Merilyn J. Amin received the Presidential medallion as the Club Adviser of Jolo Lady Eagles Club. The Jolo Municipal Government was given a Plaque of Appreciation for the full support extended to the 3rd National Assembly held at ACC, Jolo Municipal Hall, Jolo, Sulu.
Jolo Eagles Club was awarded as one of the five Most Outstanding Club of the Philippines.
National Presidents Night followed later at around 6 O’clock pm at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Regal Hotel Davao City. The newly elected National Officials was presented and inducted. Honorable Prospero Pichay is their guest of honor and speaker and also the Presentation of Appreciation and the Awarding Ceremony were held and the historical Eagles Toast and Pictorials.
On day 3, December 14, 2008 is the Thanksgiving Mass and socialization was given an ample time in which Lady Ann was asked to render a Pangalay Dance by her Kuyas and Ates. The group presided in the afternoon to send off their delegates.
