NEWLY RENOVATED CLASSROOMS AND CHAIRS FOR HBES AND KES (Dec. 05, 2008)

Honorable Vice Governor of Sulu Hja. Nur-Ana I. Sahidulla together with the Joint Task Force Comet headed by MGen. Juancho M. Sabban and U.S. Forces headed by Major Joseph Mouer- Joint Special Operation Task Force Philippines hand in hand turned over the renovated classrooms of Hadji Butu Elementary School to the Jolo IV District Supervisor Hji. Sanoh H. Jaalin, and the school Principal Hja. Nur-Yam B. Aking.

The Faculty and Staff as well as the students of Hadji Butu Elementary School were very glad to see the honorable Vice Governor and other guests for giving much effort in renovating their classrooms.

Honorable Lady Ann Sahidulla extends her gratitude and appreciation to the men in uniform especially the Task Force Comet head MGen. Juancho Sabban and USSF head Major Joseph Mouer, for the privilege given to her to be part of this humanitarian endeavor. That according to her, the Sulu Provincial Government is very much elated by the programs, projects of the AFP and the U.S. Forces assigned in Sulu which ultimately benefits the youth of Sulu.

Furthermore, she said “the military and the Sulu provincial Government will never be uncertain in delivering what is due to their constituents.  Their duties and responsibities in safeguarding the lives and properties as well as the development will be their primary objectives.”

Ribbon cutting of the newly renovated classroom follows after the program.

The group then proceeded to Kasulutan Elementary School where another school building is to be turned over.

Colonel Eugenio Clemen- Commanding Officer of the 3rd Marine Brigade turned over One Unit of the Renovated School Building to Mr. Ahmad A. Jamasari, the District in Charge. In addition, Vice Governor Lady Ann Sahidulla donated 150 monoblock school chairs to the school which is handed over to the School Principal Mrs. Nusida H. Hajijon.

Also present in the event are Colonel Celestino Pereyra- Commanding Officer of the 3rd Marine Brigade, Major Arnel David- Civil Affairs Team Leader, Hadji Eufremio Canaria- OIC Dep-Ed Division of Sulu-I, Military Dignitaries, US Army, Faculty and Staff, Students of Kasulutan Elementary School.
